No sense in buying the Deluxe Bundle?

Dishonored DotO on sale: 5.99
Together they cost 11.98
Deluxe Bundle on sale: 11.99

What's the point of having a bundle if it costs the same (or in this case more, even if by only 0.01 !!) as buying the items in the bundle separately?
As I understand, the bundle simply contains both base games, nothing extra?
Just doesn't make much sense to me.

you just realized that now after 11 years on steam? this happens a lot and oftentimes if you own one game of a bundle, it will still be cheaper to buy the full bundle than the missing game/s. but afaik this is more a steam than a dev or publisher thing.

The point is that the bundle was actually more expensive than the two game separately, which is not how it's supposed to be.
The bundle, usually, is cheaper. In this case it was the other way around.

It shouldn't. It makes no financial sense from the customer's perspective.
We're supposed to be getting a better deal by buying the bundle, not a worse one.
