Is Billie supposed to have a version of the Heart?

I just finished the first mission and i didnt have the heart or any version of it throughout the whole thing, i remember Billie holding something up infront of her face at the beginning of the game that looked like her version of the heart. Am i supposed to not have one or is it a bug?

She has the power "Foresight" which shows her where the bone charms are, but she doesn't get that power until the second mission. The thing that she holds up in the first mission is what lets her listen to rats.
