Unplayable using gamepad

No matter what controller I try to use, the game acts as if there's additional input, always going up AND to the left. Anyone else have this issue?

I was having this problem and went into my computers game controller settings and realized I had my USB foot pedal plugged in and that was messing with the game. After unplugging it I no longer had this problem. I hope that this helps you in some way

i unplugged everything from usbs, and it still makes it go up and to the left. opening bedroom, i get stuck immediately. :-(

I ended up having to disconnect and uninstall the software for my razer tartarus keypad. pretty annoying....

I don't know if it will help, but sometimes running Steam in Big Picture mode can solve controller weirdness.

i reconnected the tartarus, windows auto installed a different driver, ad i can't make the input stop, even with disconnecting all usb devices. i tried reboots, big picture mode. havent tied uninstalling the vanilla driver, but i suspect that will work. but this makes playing the game sch a huge chore

If you use Controller Companion, disable it when playing.

I had that issues too. I unplugged the controller, exited steam, then re connected the controller and turned back on the game. Now it works fine. But I still don’t know what I’m doing in the game. I tried to pick up a shiny object that blonde lady dropped (looked like it was worth a lot of money) and now I’m stuck in a forest.

this is what i have to do every time, plus driver uninstall. it's annoying. also, you gotta go see the teleporting demo in the square.
