SquareEnix needs to fix this.
I reverted to previous game version (2018-08-07), and the judders are gone when moving diagonally.
Here is my gameplay recording with version 2018-08-07: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QRSl1uAnDsI
They better fix it, because I can't bring myself to play it like that until they do.
Gotta keep this thread bumped I guess in the hopes that they're reading the forum.
How did you revert to the previous version?
Here is a detailed guide on how to use it: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2353930763
This judder is an issue in the FFVI pixel remaster and given the gigantic file size of the new Chrono Trigger update I thought maybe they share some back-end programming. Just a guess. Haven't tried the new Chrono Trigger build myself.
Cardinal direction movement works perfectly fine, and is smooth. The diagonal directions are the only issue. They must have messed something up with the code when they added the 21:9 support.
Hopefully SquareEnix will notice this issue posted on the forums here and do something about it.
