New Game Plus

Hi all, I’m a bit confused with the new game plus with this game. I’m at the very end getting ready for the final fight and just doing some side quests but I’ve read that you can only get new game plus if you go through the black omen. But the black omen is ‘firmly sealed’.

Does this mean I have somehow locked myself out of getting new game plus when I complete it now?

The Black Omen can be beaten multiple times.

But the Future version is Sealed. Go back in time.

No, you only need to beat the final boss to get NG+ , Black Omen is a way to reach the boss but not the only one; you can use the bucket portal at The end of time or travel straight to the Day of Lavos with the Epoch - be aware that either of these will throw you straight into the boss fight so prepare accordingly

Black Omen is only accesible at 1000 AD, 600 AD and 12000 BC, the future version (2300 AD) is impossible to enter, also you can beat it multiple times in a single playthrough once per age - with the obvious caveat that if you clear one at an earlier period you won't be able to enter the later versions, I.E. If you clear it at 600 AD first you won't be able to do 1000 AD after but you still could do the 12000 BC one

Thanks both, I realised I was trying to access it in the future and it was sealed. Didn't realise it was present in other times where I was able to access it and complete it as well getting my new game plus!

Make sure to collect Speed Capsules from the panels. Once you've beaten them, they don't show up in the other time lines. Actually, the alien like enemies you can steal Magic Capsules from don't come back ether.
