Please Square Enix Let Us Choose Our Own Font!
I know the DS font isn't terrible, I just wish I could use my custom one again!! Please SE, give me that option!

Edit: The DS font IS terrible
I really cannot play this without my font or even the font that I had before that I could patch it

I disagree with the first part of what you said: The NDS CT font *is* terrible.

Also, it wasn't designed for large screens, but the NDS' very small screen. It is barely readable on my 32" monitor.

Many other fonts would look much better - including the previous font they use IF it also had a drop-shadow on it.

But there are still better fonts than the previous font they used.

The SNES font, for example, would be a major improvement over the current Steam CT font.

But another font could be used to. Just something that's actually readable, the current Steam CT font is not very readable.

I actually changed my mind, I cannot tolerate any font that isn't mine, I made that for the font patcher that does not work now, spent several days and up all night only to now not be able to use it and be forced this terrible substitute.. I was only being generous with what I initially said.

I agree. The font Zeikar made was a real tribute to the SNES version. Thankfully we can do that little trick to use that second font but I'd still rather use Zeikar's font.

By the way, the NDS font does not look the same when it's on a large screen as it does the NDS' tiny screen. The NDS font looks full and normal on a DS' tiny screen, but the font design is such that the larger the screen it's on, the more it starts to look like it's falling apart.

The NDS font looks OK on the small NDS screen, but on a large PC screen, particularly one as large as my 32" monitor, it looks like a bunch of pixels that have fallen apart and is barely readable.


Please SE, please just change the Steam CT font to the SNES font.

The Steam CT font looks bad in that screenshot, but it looks a whole lot worse when it's blown up 2.5 times that size, as it is on my large monitor.

How big is your monitor? Mine is 17 inches.

Yeah, but they also changed moddable font usage to proprietary through encryption and such. They suck for doing that.

Seems similar to Verdana almost, but with a few differences as well...
