arris dome...can't unlock door
So I have my A button as enter, my y as esc and my b as backspace....when I click the door as enter, I hear a sound. I then try to click enter, esc and backspace in succession, I get a ding noise. I watch a walkthrough and the floor lets you get to the door, but it's not doing it for me. What do I do?

don't be a cheapskate
if you can spend 15 euros to buy a dematerialized game you can also buy a controller
an Xbox 360 controller costs 25 euros on amazon
Uh...I want real help to get past a point in game of a pc port, not you telling me to buy something I would only use on a 15.00 steam game and then never again. If the game required that to get past any point, this game needs to specify that in their sale pitch.

Have you already found the seed and been given the code in game by catching the rat? I don't believe it will let you enter it before then.

Yes, I picked the seed and then chased the rat. He said yab? And I have that combo set to be enter+esc+backspace on my keyboard. When I walk up to the sparkling console and hit them all at once, it'll open my inventory...since the backspace is inventory. If I hit A once it'll make a noise, afterwards I hit all 3 buttons in succession and get a 'ding' as if it worked. But nothing happens to let me near the door. So it sounds like it's 'working', but also not working because the platform doesn't drop for me.

I believe when they ported this away from consoles, they changed it from all 3 buttons at the same time (L, R and A) to one button at a time (L, R then A) in the order the rat says. Hope that info helps.
*Those are just examples from controller code.

OK I got it to work. I had to first click my 'interact' button which happened to be set to the Y (my enter button). Then I had to hit enter again for it to register the password of Y A B after. No need to press all at once.

I was just gonna suggest this, it's how it worked on SNES too. First you press the button to activate the console, then you do the password

Played this for the first time this weekend and this topic was my big question too for the game, it never said I first had to press a button, THEN press the key sequence. Was quite confusing. But a great game overall that still holds up.

Also, we will never forget this great answer to the topic question: gamepad is not neccessary but it's better!!!
