They screwed up the Zabie code!
In the factory in 2300 AD, you get a code to enter later that the game tells you is called Zabie. It's a phonetic pronunciation for the button inputs you do on the Super NES: X, A, B, Y.

Except in this port, as with everything else, they ♥♥♥♥ it up. It doesn't even make any sense -- the Xbox controller has buttons with the same letters. And they still call the code Zabie! Except now it's A, B, Y, X, so it's just nonsense. How unbelievably sloppy can you get with this port?!

Here's a screenshot. Ridiculous.

Seriously? That's what is bothering you the most?
I get why people are about the filter, UI, font, etc.
But a password changing inside the game? That's just getting ridiculous.

When the ♥♥♥♥ did I say that's bothing me "the most"? The filter is gross, the UI is disgusting and the font is lazy. Those all bother me a lot more, but they've been discussed at length.

they need to fix this as well. it was called "Zabie" because XABY is the code, and if spoken verbally it (kind of) sounds the same.

Oh no, what a tragedy. They should've changed it to BABY. Also ABYX can be interpreted as "abyss".

They changed it in the mobile version so people had to go to the other room instead of using memory. Really, really not a big deal. It's insignificant.

The problem is that the game can be played with other controllers, the keyboard or even the mouse. This could confuse people not using an Xbox controller. Not sure why they kept the letters if they switched the order though, I suspect it's a translation error. I wonder what the japanese version used there, like Lara was Lala, it might be related to that.

This is the whole thing. People come in here all "who cares," it's not like I'm precious about my beloved XABY, but it's completely meaningless to call it "Zabie" now. Typically sloppy work from the port house.

So they changed that line in the screenshot in the first post, but they left in the other part. So now it makes even less sense! Also why they didn't just change the input to be XABY is beyond me.

You're complaining about changes that aren't finished and haven't been released yet.

Still, while I care less about this than the other issues it does seem odd that it was changed at all.

If you look at what post I replied to, you're complaining about how they changed the first line but "left in the other part"

My point is until the latest patch is actually released (not just pushed to the beta branch) there's no way of knowing if either change will make it into the final patch, nor what they are still going to change prior to release.

Now once it's actually released, if they leave that reference in one place and not the other, that would be cause for complaint.

So now is fine to complain about this?

The proper time probably would've been after it was released from the not-supposed-to-be-public beta branch but before the end of the several month post-release development cycle. If it's still an issue though, yeah, knock yourself out.
