No sound

I bought and installed the game a few days ago. Now that I try to play it, the animated intro lags to like 1 frame per 10 seconds and the entire game is silent. My other games reproduce sound normally but CT doesn't. I refuse to play without sound, one of the best things on this game is the music. Any idea why is this happening only with CT and how to proceed to solve this?

Try to turn off any game layer, like Steam or Nvidia.

I have the same issue. It won't play the sound past the intro. It doesn't want to play the sound. It's.... only half the game. I truly love the sound effects of the original. I'm not sure I can keep playing without hearing the magic of the game.

I had this same issue for a while, hadn't found a solution to it until I accidentally launched the game today while I had my speakers plugged in. If you have different audio devices you could try that and see if my theory is correct, the sounds were gone as soon as I plugged in my headphones, and back when I used the speakers.

for me the game doesn't support 44Khz audio interface as my Bluetooth set (44khz). Sound is working only on my main audio interface (48khz).

For me, only 24 and 64 bit 44khz works with a stuttering sound. Rest does not produce any sound.

I had same trouble. but as someone said, i unpluged the interface. now I can hear the sound. so i forgive the sound thru speaker and enjoy thru head phone, thanks!
