MSVCR120.dll missing?
I recently bought the game and wondered why it wouldn't open only to find I kept having the error pop up saying I was missing MSVCR120.dll. So I tried reinstalling the game, Repairing/reinstalling microsoft c++ r and finally ended up just installing the file I was missing straight. I tried putting it just on my pc and even into the chrono trigger directory. I'm kind of at a loss of how to fix this so if someone knows how to fix it please help me out :FFIX_Moogle:

in general this error message means that either your version of the game is a cracked version or that you have not installed the runtimes

.From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
.Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game files... button.
.Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
Let me know if this worked or not?
Thanks

I've got the same problem. I tried to verify the files, and it did say one was in error and would re download it, but it still isn't working.

Just downloaded this and it won't open at all. Verified files and there were no problems found. Redownloaded it and still nothing. Anyone have a viable fix or can tech support weigh in on this please?

I decided to try deleting all my mcv c++ files and redownloading them entirely. In particular 2012 and 2013 in both x64 and x86 then tried booting up chrono trigger again and it seemed to work now I'm able to play. Just go into control panel and into uninstall program then select those versions and hit uninstall then go to the microsoft website and you can redownload them there! I hope this helps you all enjoy the game I'm so glad I didn't just give up :FFIX_Moogle:

First go into the common files and try running the game directly from the icon so you can see what error message pops up. I found the solution for mine so if yours is the same it should be an easy fix!

I think I have a solution now it won't let me mark my own comment as the answer but you could try what I did and hopefully it fixes yours too!

Try running the game from in the common files to see what error pops up. If you have the same error code as me it should be easy to fix! other error solutions are probably in forums somewhere too

Was getting this same error. Manually uninstalling and installing all versions of C++ didn't work, but used this and the game now starts. https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/visual_c_redistributable_runtimes_aio_repack.html

This did it for me. The other recommended solution (libEGL.dll) did not.
