Why are the enemies so fast?
I played the original SNES version and I do not remember the enemies being this fast. I have literally been killed by bosses before I had time to move as they will have used "hit all" attacks 4 times before I even get to my second action as my first tend to be used to save myself. Is this supposed to be normal?

You can change the settings to wait mode too.

I done that since the start. That doesn't change the fact that the enemy will have attacked twice with AOE attacks by the time I have had my first turn. The only way to even compete against them is put Haste on everyone, but that means I have to survive long enough to do so.

I actually wondered about this when I first played this version. I could swear active mode in this version of the game moved way faster than I remember. I didn't see anyone else complaining about it though so assumed it was just me, and adapted to it. It is entirely possible though the timing is off. A lot of japanese games seem to run in sync with the framerate for example. So faster framerate makes it move faster. Hard to tell without comparing both versions side by side.

Turn the battle speed down if you're having trouble with it.

Does that also turn my own speed down? Remember. I asked if anyone know if the enemies are as fast in the original SNES version as they are in this. The problem I am having isn't that they are to fast for me to handle but that they act twice as fast as me. Slowing the enemies and myself down to a equal level does not change the problem. It does not stop me from going into a fight and before I can move two of my team members are dead. I want to at least have a chance to do something.

The enemies are the same speed as the Snes version. You most likely have the battle speed high and are picking attacks too slow. Its working fine for me.

Keep in mind some characters have awful speed stats like robo or lucca.
Turn battle speed to 8 and fight more regular enemies first to level up and increase speed

I left you some GOOD advice:steamhappy:

Apart from that I killed every single enemy I found. As there is no random encounters and no enemies left, that doesn't really help. From what I remember, the SNES game didn't require grind yet here you are saying that it does. That is something I really do not remember.
It is just the general way to beat bosses

Thanks, but I kind of known that already. I played JRPG's before.

If you played before i wonder why youre having so much troubly picking abilities on time. Its working normally for me.

Honestly I agree it does feel like the enemies attack sooner than I remember. I'm OK with it, makes things a little more of a challenge. But something feels off somehow. It's of course possible we are remembering wrong.

I am not. I do not understand what the problem everyone have in not understanding the question.

My question is if anyone remember this game being this fast compared to the SNES version. It feels way to fast. I can pick the abilities on time just fine, I have defeated all of the enemies I got stuck on long before I made this post. I am not stuck anywhere. I am just pissed off that I enter combat and before I can do anything two of my characters are dead and my last is on 1/4 health.

Why would you want it slow? Its why the SNES was bad to begin with "For me atleast" the whole excitement of this game now is that you have to MOVE in order to win. Its why it is great, and the interface aswell as responsive controls. On SNES all this felt just clunky, slow and boring to me

Why do I not enjoy starting combat and 30 second later getting a game over with no real chance of doing much else? I wonder why that is. It is almost as annoying as missing 99% shots in XCOM and because of that attracting 10-12 enemies where you only got 4 allies to fight with. I want to lose because of mistake I made, not because of that the game just decide that I should get a game over now.
