Stuck in the factory, even with the code

https://imgur.com/a/T2GM0dH This is exactly where my characters are trapped for eternity. I have looked up a walkthrough, but even after typing in B+B or Y+A, I cannot get through. I have checked my keybinds and it remains the same. This walkthrough http://shrines.rpgclassics.com/snes/ct/walk06.shtml doesn't help. Is this a bug?

I was stuck here too... I went into the room with code... Activated the screen that gives it to you... did the fight... and went straight back to the crane and got it to work. Try that and see if it resolves.

You do not researching location.I found information at one of computer. You need typing Y+Y and A+B (don't remembering right)

I ended up pressing in as many codes that I could before it worked. Maybe I typed in the wrong code prior.
