Keeps pushing UP?
I just bought the game, and whenever I start the game, at the main menu, it keeps pushing the up button, I have tried mouse and keyboard, and with a controller, it seems that something keeps pushing the up button.. I managed to start the game by mashing down before it can go back up, but my character just keeps heading up and is stuck at the window in the beginning... lol.. any ideas?

I had the same problem but with going left. Had to set up the deadzone on the controller to fix. Try unplugging your controller to see if it fixes the problem. If so, go to the Steam menu and select Settings, select Controller, and then the General Controller Settings button to access the configuration settings screen. I checked Xbox configuration support, clicked on my detected controller, clicked on calibrate and increased the deadzone of the left stick.

Thank you, I went to big picture and calibrated the settings and it stopped!!:steamhappy:

I figure out how to solve this, it has nothing to do with analogue sticks calibration, since even with the controller and keyboard unplugged the issue still happens (I've tested). Currently, it isn't necessary to open Big Picture Mode to solve the it, you just need to open the Steam client, click on Library, then on Chrono Trigger, then on the gear icon (when you hover the pointer appears as "Manage"), then on the game Properties and finally on Controller. There, you select the "Enable Steam Input" option. That's it, the bug will disappear. Apparently this is an issue with the Steam's back end or maybe with Square Enix old titles - I've seen similar reports about other games, FFIX is an example. You're welcome!
