Issue in shops
Hello,

I was enthralled to play this new version of Chrono Trigger, but it seems there's an issue (even if it's the 5th patch :) ) ingame : when I go into shops, if I've more than 1000G, the shop says that I've 0g. Also, if an item is above 1000G, it's shown to cost no gold, even if it has a cost. It doesn't really matter, but it's a little nuisance to the game.
For information, I play in French, and in "classic" graphics, not enhanced.

Thanks for the reply,

I noticed the same issue in 600AD. I don't know yet if other shops in other eras work properly. Didn't play that far yet.

I was hoping this was fixed.

And other things :
- you can't choose to buy more than 2 items at once, even if you have the money for it ;
- you can't quit the game with the in-game menu...
It begins to be a lot....

I've had this issue since the original release, on two completely different computers, and they both have the same shop bug of not displaying prices or funds higher than 1000 gold. This even happens on fresh installs with all files verified.

The bug makes most of the game unplayable, unless you want to do some blind shopping or remember equipment prices by heart. A fix is badly required.

I finally figured out what's causing it, and this makes me smh at Square Enix's developers. You see, in my language, an empty space is used for grouping large numbers, for example, one million is "1 000 000". This bugs the game out, since it's expecting a comma to group the digits (e.g. one million is "1,000,000"). To fix this, you'll need to set comma as your digit grouping symbol in your language options.

The easiest way to fix this:
1) Open your Windows' Control Panel.
2) In "Clock and Region", click "Change date, time or number formats".
3) In the Formats tab, under Format, change your current language to something like "English (United Kingdom)" or "English (United States)".
4) Press Apply.
5) Run the game, and the shop bug should be fixed.
6) When you've quit playing, go back to the Formats tab, and choose the language you were using before.

Thanks a lot! <3
After I changed the language settings in windows, the game would not be able to load my last save file BUT the option to continue worked! So...
CONTINUE then SAVE (to refresh the save file in a compatible way, I suppose) and THERE!
For a second, I though I'ld have to start over from the start.
French people can't use FR right, why would computers?...
Thanks again!

Thanks again!
