"Please stop trolling". Please give evidence where the person trolls? I am sure I remember a battle where you lose and the story continues after that anyway so not sure I get your logic...

If you don't believe me, take a look at this page: http://chrono.wikia.com/wiki/Golem The best leveling up place around that time is probably in 65 million BC, keep fighting Nus when it rains. However, if you can't get out of the palace (like you said), why are you asking where to grind?
not in chrono trigger unless there is one lavos battle, which could be the case. this is not a lavos battle but a golem battle. i got game over in that same golem battle once before in the super nintendo version. there is no place to save after visiting the mammon machine. i could test out the strategy posted on the wiki but i still think i need to grind a bit just to survive.

There is no big strategy here. Don't use physical attacks or skills. Only use elemental MAGIC attacks. And never use twice the same elements. Simple af. No complications at all, there...
that strategy is not a problem to understand but, the golem still attacked me before i had time to act so i need more speed to offset the golem`s speed. where is the best place to grind at this point? any speed capsules i might have missed?

Usually, just go kill things around. And speed isn't quite the issue. You'll never get any amount of speed from leveling enough to make a big difference. My Lucca remained at like 8 speed ALL game. So you won't get more. If anything, you need more defense or resistance from leveling...

Make sure you have the latest equipment, too. Always a good thing. Then just cast magic at it.
it attacks constantly, i have no time to act. any speed capsules i might have missed?

Why you don't just let him wipe you, there is no game over the story continue, and this fight is exactly the same on SNES.
yes there is. i got game over in the super nintendo version in just this battle.

I am sure I didn't. Unless you are not at the same battle that the wiki speaks about. Your speed won't change much anyway and if it wipes you then you need more defense. Don't trigger it...
i am asking a seemingly simple question and nobody answers it, why?

We answered it at least 5 times... Soooooo... Either read what we say or keep dying, I dunno...

The next Golem battles are compulsory to win, but not this one. Rather than just claiming everyone is a troll or a liar, why don't you just wait for 5 seconds the next time you lose the boss battle, and see what happens? Most YouTube videos about the first Golem fight also say it's not necessary to win the fight, and in some speedruns, the gamer actually loses the fight and the game moves on (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZV0Fj4BmU0Q&t=2h21m at 2 h 21 min, or https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K783J1VtiZY&t=2h28m at 2 h 28 min). It's not like everyone is trying to trick you.

If you still want to beat that boss, go ahead, but it seems like you're hitting your head against the wall at the moment, and it will take a while to grind until you're strong enough to beat him. Maybe you should at least lower the battle speed down, and perhaps set the game mode from Active to Wait. After that, stop using physical attacks against him, or he'll just counter them and kill your characters. Instead, keep alternating between elements. For example, take turns casting Lightning, Water and Fire, and you should only get counters from weak spells and Iron Orb, which only reduces your HP by half.

EDIT:

Did you read these at all:

Ah, my mistake. Do you need levels or just another skill? If you just need a skill, you can fight 2 Nus per visit to the Hunting Range in 65,000,000, plus the alkaline guys there you can get 64 tech points pretty quick.

Otherwise if you need actual levels... I'm not sure what's the best area. All areas would be kind of under level compared to you at this point I think. Maybe the sewers in 2300 leading to Death Peak? Maybe the Dactyl Nest?

i have defeated that boss in every other version i have played and therefore i want to defeat it in this version as well. not that i have choice in the matter. it is already set on wait. i never used physical attacks as the golem destroyed me before i got the chance to attack. what does iceberg toss count as? where should i grind? nus is good for leveling skills but not for leveling stats. they also only spawn 3 times before i have to go back to the village.

physical attacks doesn't just mean "Attack", it means physical skills, too. Magics are the attacks with star or whatever near the name. USE ONLY THOSE. None else. This is what it means.
