saved games disappear

I was playing the game, and i was on the sidequest where you upgrade the masamune, and my pc shut off, but when i came back to the game after starting up the computer, then i came to find that the main menu only said "New Games" the load and resume options have disappeared. is there anything I can do to rectify this problem?

Verify integrity of the game cache.

If not working go to your documents, my games, and delete Chrono trigger folder, then try verify integrity of the game cache again.

If still not syncing save data, try this then, delete the game, go to your documents, my games, and delete Chrono trigger folder in that order, now reinstall the game, and it should download your cloud save to your PC. If doesn't happen then you're going to have to start all over.

You should back up your saves anyway, just in case. There is a way to restore them if they are backed up and to bypass Steam cloud overwriting just copy the backups into the save folder while the game is at the title screen or something.

also the bookmark save and possibly the Load game saves might delete if you load them too soon, just wait a little bit before loading, I have lost many bookmark saves :(

huh, maybe I have to clean my screenshots, it literally takes FOREVER when it scans screenshots during startup haha

I'm sorry to hear that, try out the Game Save Manager, or copy the file before starting up the game, this way you can ensure you won't lose it. Once Sync happens, it replaces on the cloud with the newest file.
