Is it safe to buy yet?

So I see that they patched the game since release but is it good enough like the ports from SNES or DS yet or should I still wait for furthermore patches?

Not really in a rush to buy it since I want to play when they release the best version possible here on Steam

We have to only hope for the console version to be included for the game as well, or else it just be a mobile port, becuase that how SE been handing these games now. FF9 remake/remaster is on PS4, and basically got the exact same version on the PC, with none of that mobile crap. Same thing with FFX/X-2, and again with FFXII.

yes, I would prefer that they put orchestrated songs, instead of doing downgrade of the graph, with the exception of UI mobile, this is the best RPG of all time, you can buy peacefully

and there is the game having no random pixel issues, but still the wrong colors

pixelation issue for steam, if you notice there are stray pixels all over with too many colors. typewriter has 6 colors on the keys instead of 2, etc... Also theres a missing pixel on the pot, appears darker than the emulated ds version where you could still say that the wall might be wood, it basically looks like spikes on the wall now, top left of crono's head.

Oh wow. Just one more problem with this Steam / mobile version.

I hope that the current Chrono Trigger team fix that, too.

there now you've seen it.. it doesn't even matter.. also the "bugs" happened to only a few people.. and i wish some children on steam would learn that not every computer configuration can be tested before a pc game is released. so sometimes stuff happens. its only when a majorety of people have the same bug that it's an issue. and a controller double imputting when your trying to get the cat to follow you at the fair get's fixed if you just recalibrate your controller like i did

Maybe it's just been too long, but I don't remember any of that being on the SNES version. Maybe the Arena of the Ages, but I don't remember anything being called that. What part of the game is it?

that's because it wasn't in the snes version.. it was features from the NDS version

cause zero and co who scream they wanted the snes version cause its perfect. want the NDS features too

If they're selling it as a definitive edition HD, they should have all the contents and toggles at this point in time, an snes version with achievements would do just fine though imo. Currently they're selling the worst version of the game as the definitive edition.

A certain someone doesn't understand that "definitive edition" = BEST VERSION. This is clearly not the best version with everything any true Chrono Trigger fans need in their life, contrarily to what a certain someone seems to believe for whatever reasons. We tried hard to teach them...

No need to be nasty to each other. Even the worst version of this game is better than most games... EVER. As much as some things i've seen Dzaka say throughout these forums, it iddn't take long, made me raise the ole wtf eyebrow... it still doesn't warrant the hate. And 'no true scotsman' fallacies still are what they are.

Hopefully they will add those things in or they will be modded in. The features sound nice and an arena sounds fun.

Why you lumping everyone together? There would be nothing wrong with the ALL of the DS content and a perfect switching option to SNES style graphics, including UI. Just because everyone you disagreed/argued with doesn't agree with each other, doesn't mean you can lump eveyone together that you see as "your personal enemies" just because they all don't agree with you. Who cares what version they want, I want, to you it only matters what version you want/accept/defend religously. We can all have different opinions, but you're always arguing and lying to everyone, and your memory is pretty short and diluted/deluded.

If they want this "trash" of a port to be the definitive version, they're going to have to do much better than this because I've seen definitive versions of other games. This seriously isn't one...

And what does how another person, whom you condemn, conducts themself have to do with how you conduct yourself? If their attitude and actions are so bad then I wouldn't suggest matching them. Because what does that make you?

It's a game. A fantastic game that is known widely as one of the best of all t ime. Definitive version, crap version, good version, worst version, best version... it's still Crono Trigger. I've only had the time to get to 64 mill BC but so far I haven't seen anything terrible as I switch back and forth between the new and original graphics. There is no need for the venom in these forums. I mean, I made mention of changing 'lode sword' to 'silver sword', wondering why they would bother changing it at all, and a several page flame war over the word and substance 'lode/lodestone' erupted. Seriously, guys, do better. If something that minor and petty results in that much salt then you need better things to do with your time because it certainly must not be very valuable to you.

Please stop telling everyone to accept the release version as "perfect" "fine" and "perfectly fine", I didn't want to continue this arguing and dragging each others' names through the mud. However, it is not right to also keep naming Zero and others. I am done with this, I just want peace and peace of mind. I only came back because of those hints you dropped against me and worst yet the modding community. It's one thing to come after me personally, it's another to show that hateful, disrespectful attitude towards them as well.
