Is there any way to play Chrono Cross on current systems?

I can see there is no steam version of Chrono Cross but is there a version of it on the PS4 Store or is there any PC version planned?

Come on, remember how Square Enix closed Chrono Trigger fan-project, because this fan-game would "Hurt Square Enix's sales"

...If it IS illegal, that what is the point for you to even buy Chrono Cross from someone's hands, when it's even more illegal than playing a free rom.

In short terms that right, as long you not distributing rip copies of it, or getting a rip copy from someone, you're prefectly legal.

Of course, when you get a digital license copy on Steam/etc, you can put it on your PC where ever you want, on your C drive, D drive, E, whatever, heck even on disk, usb thumb drive, etc. Keep in mind it's only illegal if you're distributing the copy of the game, because they didn't and most likely won't be giving anyone rights to be distributing on their behalf, or to make a profit off of them.

Yes, it is. But steam doesn't abide by the same train of logic. You're free to argue with them about it but they might still ban just for mentioning it. It happened before and it will still happen again.

Steam doesn't ban people for simply talking about emulation. If that were the case I would have been permanently banned from the forums years ago and I've never even recieved as much as a warning. It's mentioning the websites that distribute isos and roms that have gotten people banned. Nice try, though.

Finally, I was just saying that it may happen so you do whatever you want, I don't really care. The ToS clearly states that any discussions of piracy (Including console emulators) will result in a permanent ban. You may have your opinions about it but argue them with an admin, not me... :3

It really sucks in so many ways..... For example in England Chrono Trigger was never released and the only way I ever got to play the game was through a friend who had an imported US version.

Over the years I loved the game and played it through none legal means and STILL paid the full price on Steam to play the game I love legally. I have no issues at all with paying Square Enix for their work but in many cases there is simply no way to do that.

I made this question looking for a legal way to play Chrono Cross and again thanks to SE stupidity find there is no legal route at all and am forced to depend on none legal solutions.

Since people were also mentioning illegal ways to get said content, steam had to put a stop to it. The rule was made for formality. We all know nobody would stop doing what they do anyway...

You know how it goes. If ♥♥♥♥ content is released then people will go look elsewhere for better. Your backseat moderating won't really change anything to this fact. Enjoy your pointless battle.
