When SE stopped it is was meant to only include ten scenes from the original. Not the whole game. Look it up.

I've very much enjoyed this mobile trash, thank you. Much more than I would have enjoyed this other project. And I say this as someone who was following Chrono Resurrection back then, before it got the C&D.

I gotta repeat, SE couldn't really help BUT shut it down. (BTW, IIRC it was Squaresoft that shut it down, wasn't that pre-merger?)

They allowed our game because before we made it, we specifically contacted them and asked for their blessing. In other words, we did the thing you need to do legally so they aren’t forced to shut you down. :|

trademarks and copyrights have to be defended even if the company likes what someone does because if they don't defend them when possible infringements pop up they can actively lose those copyrights and trademarks
