The 2004 Remake Square-Enix shut down
Never forget that they shut down a proper remake that was making headway

https://youtu.be/VrlPnT89J-s

So they could wow us all with an official blur filter mobile port 14 years later.

You'll be OK Seraphna. It's a little overblown at this point.

Thanks for conceeding your point and stating in your own way that you agree with me. Glad to know you could at least read what I said and follow exactly what I asked you to do for once. :sans:

Time heals some wounds.
TL;DR intellectual property (i.e. trademark, copyright, and patent) law is a load of ♥♥♥♥

Nah, it makes sense if you stick to the facts of it.

Oh, by this I'm implying that some of the facts themselves are things that shouldn't be the case.

Oh it REALLY is BS in so many different ways. I personally hate it. But at the same time understand that both sides are stuck with the messed up system and it's simply how things go. We can actually thank Disney of all things for things getting to the state they are now.

It isn't a messed up system for both sides anymore. The titans have pushed the property lines pretty deep into what used to be consumer territory. For companies like Disney it's about global domination. The reason I will always be confused with SE's neglect of doing CT justice (even with this port) is they're constantly leaving money on the table to take ego bites instead.

Okay. Gonna leave this tinfoil here, you just make whatever you need with it.

Which ones? Because IIRC they doesn't care if there are Sonic hacks out there

PS: and the best Sonic game in decade was a fangame

It’s funny because the same thing happened with Pokemon, when the fans started making a better pokemon, they were shut down for dmca. Understandable from a company point of view they gotta protect their ip while actively leveling the low quality of games for higher profits.

The last one was probably around the time of Sonic 4. I'm not sure if it ended up being coopted by Sega after that point, I don't really follow Sonic games, my friends do. But I clearly recall some outrage for a game that would have been done better than Sonic 4 that got C&D.

Sonic 2 HD. Shut down ages ago, though it’s back now that Sega gave the public go ahead.
