Konock-Knock game is impossible!

Ok, so here I am, a musician by hobby (for years now) and this thing is driving me crazy :x! I'm actually thinking about quitting the game!

I've literally spend an HOUR straight with it and haven't been able to make a single correct guess. I even think I stumbled on some sort of a bug. I tried only answering by the actual "knock" sound and ignoring the "clanking" pipe noise etc. the other way around as well as counting all of the sounds.
None of it works :x!

Did anyone encounter a similar issue? I even watched a playthrough of this part on youtube, the person playing it had the same double "knock" sound, pressed twice as the answer and it was accepted. I pressed twice and it was incorrect.
This is really driving me crazy and I honestly think that my game bugged out at this point :/.

I played that part twice, and twice i was able to get away with it by answering 2 twice. I think when the game propts you with the number pick you can click x and maybe try looking at the
game hints? Maybe they explain there how to get it right. I don't have any older saves.

You missed the solution to the puzzle:
Oboe cannot count. You have to answer 1 more than how many times he knocked. By the same logic you have to answer correctly 2 times, not 3.

Great that it was explained at least a single time somewhere :x. I was exhausting all of his conversation points multiple times and haven't noticed a single thing about him not being able to count.
I don't even recall him from Inner World as it been too many years since I played it for the last time.

During his introduction, he miscounts the amount of time he's been in jail, which Libretta points out. This is a non-recurring dialogue though
