This promotes tactical play where you have to
a) ensure you manage your mana; and
b) avoid being dragged into multiple combats one after another (happen in orc huts if you are not careful)
While there are no consumables in the game like potions, the avenues are:
1. dark channeling skill (rare and usually late-game, restores mana from health). works in combat.
2. mana fountains. rare. like a skull in a wall with blue mana flowing out of it. do not exist in combat.
3. certain items give a % of mana back per kill during combat. expensive and rare.
So the essence of it is ... running out of mana is a very common thing and intended. For a lower level spellcaster, mana is something that recharges slowly, but can (if you want to) discharge quickly.
It sounds like you have the game balanced very well. I will just have to learn to overcome!
This is a WONDERFUL game. Thank you so much for making it so we can all enjoy this great game!
Thanks! 8-)
