You may just need to talk to the FLAME, get quest, get out of dialogue, and talk to him again to trigger the reward to register.
For quests, have you looked at the QUEST log? Top right button in Wal mode, has a log for NPCs, quests, mobs etc.
on the ORB: once you did the rats and outdoors quest for the archmage Parnosz, he will give you the ORB quest. then you talk to the smuggler boss who says kill an orc warlord then I help. If you did already just talk to him a second time and the quest triggers as complete. He will reveal that the old man in the north east may help if you bring him a satchel he has. Go to that hermit and he gives the FLAME quest.
if you go the southwest mountain on the island and circle it, you will note two entrances into the mountain that are on the edge of the mountain. if you open the map, they are highlighted in purple. the one on the western edge is an old mine, the one on the eastern edge is the dry hot cave system, where you need to go. it is not small, head west then find your way south. the Flame is a fire elemental at the end of the cave system, an NPC. on first talk he will give you the quest, then you should simply have to talk to him again and the quest triggers as complete.
Then go to Parnosz and he can start teleporting you back home.
Thanks! I have the FLAME quest, just could not find the right entrance...only had found the mine entrance...
