Report a translation problem
It's primary target is VR, obviously, but you can use it without VR hardware as well.
The player itself is still in a very developmental state and has only bare functionalities implemented, like playing, seeking, looking around.
The latter is hard and confusing to control with a mouse and in an accuarate manner.
There are 5 quality levels that are tied to fixed resolutions, but the video quality is very low even on a higher level that may seem like it should be fine for your display.
It doesn't cache much of the video and then seems to need more bandwidth than just the stated video quality. On top of that, you can only change the quality or seek backwards while it's playing, not while it is paused, which makes it unnecessarily hard to get it right.
This would definitely need a lot more work to increase its appeal.
(Its development is probably halted indefinitely, though.)
Personally, I'm not really interested in 360° films/videos.
Games are a totally different thing.
