How do you get 360 Degrees with Headset?

How do you get it to play 360 degrees? I am using a HTC Vive headset and I open a 360 degree video but it does not play 360 degrees, It looks like a screen where I have two type choices of screen to select. None are 360 degrees.
Let me give you an example, There is a video (360) degrees called Invasion that is offered at both Steam and Viveport. If you play it through Viveport VR, It is 360 degrees, You can turn around and see the landscape. If you try to play it through Steam 360 Video Player, you can not turn around and see the landscape. It looks like a mini movie theater with two choice of screens types. How do you get it to play 360 degrees with a VR headset?

I have the same issue with my Vive. Your just sitting in a movie theater watching a movie you need to manually go around and move. I want the 360 video player to go full screen (no theater) and move with my head. ugh.

It would be nice to get some feedback from the creators of this program. Right now I am avoiding the purchase of any movies from steam.

I'm pretty sure you want Bigscreen. Although i dont think the screen follows your head, but highly customizable

Well, I did learn something, I can view a 360 video at Viveport and see it displayed in true 360 degrees and then I can find that same video here at Steam and it will not play in true 360 degrees. It has something to do with Steam 360 degree video player. Something is not right.

I know I originally watched these in a 360 degree format on my HTC Vive Pro. But, it no longer works. The video opens up a media large room display now. The only difference is that I am using a Vive Index now, but it should still work like it used to.

I am frustrated with the creators of Steam 360 Video Player. It seems they have abandon this VR tool. Most Videos I have to watch using Viveport and opening them through Viveport to get to a true 360 degrees. For VR Movies obtained outside of Steam and Viveport, the best I have found and I had to purchase it is called, (Simple VR Video Player) I just will no longer purchase a Video from the Steam store because I just don't know if I will get that true 360 degrees. Any Videos purchased from Viveport work just fine. There is a few Videos that are sold at both Steam and Viveport and the ones sold here will not play 360 but the same ones purchased at Viveport will play 360 degrees. I found this out first hand. Just very frustrated with Steams management of this Player.
