Leveling abuse in Spire Dungeon
Im at the point where theres swinging axe at upper platform, and many beinefevers on lower. After clearing that area you have to jump on the moving platform, which I have failed multiple times. I cant be bothered to fight the beinefevers by fighting, so im killing them by smashing the loose platforms, which I guess im meant to do.

Problem is, I have gotten multiple level ups and crapton of sin by doing it, and it feels like cheating and im not at the point that i'd need to grind for levels and I dont want to feel overpowered. I would suggest decreasing xp and sin drop at that specific area/killing enemies that way, or just remove the beinefevers alltogether after killing them the first time.

I dont want to feel overpowered.

Don't grind then? There are players who have to grind to bruteforce challenging enemies\bosses..

Why deprive them of this?

Did you read the post? I didnt want to. There are a lot of them, and you have to kill a few out of the way to get to the elevator. I screwed up the jump almost 10 times and I leveled up every time.

Its supposed to be a hardcore game. If you have to grind then grind, nothing wrong about that, but there shouldnt be a way to get multiple levels fast with zero effort and danger.

it's hard even at this place

The level scaling is exponential. Even if you were grinding the legs for an hour, the boss fight in that area would still be challenging, and it would make exp gained from later enemies insignificant. It's not a huge deal is all I'm saying, it was put there intentionally so folks could grind stuff if they needed to.

Yeah, im still struggling with bosses and some enemies, so I see that few levels aint a big deal. I dont do shortcuts in games so I just get very annoyed when I gain something that I dont feel like I deserve and wasnt sure if that spot was intentional. Good to know.

I actually used this for a little bit because I needed to get some sin to buy from a merchant, and let me set your mind at ease: Unless you're planning to spend the next 6 hours grinding to level 100 and further beyond, you're not going to be able to steamroll through rest of the game by level grinding. By the time you reach level 50, you'd have to make six trips back and forth to go up one level, and you'd be better off just going to higher level areas and fighting enemies normally. And while the Prince of Ambition can be made somewhat easier by grinding up to the mid to late 30s, the bosses that come after will still be very challenging: The benefits from leveling up are small, and take a while to accumulate. You get better benefits from just killing bosses and finding Sinner Hearts through exploration to earn Atonements.
