Low FPS
I can't say that I've got a good graphics card (it's nvidia geforce 610m), but it usually able to run GameMaker games at stable 60 fps. With this game I can't get 30 fps even on lowest settings in windowed mode with 1024x768 resolution on non-integrated video card (it's still around 24 fps).
I totally can undestand if game is not intended to run smoothly on a system like mine (as optimizing can be tricky), but still would like to make sure if it's not some kind of performance bug (and if it is not supposed to be fixed in the future).
Windows 7 64 bit, if it helps.

Hi your two

Hi guys, there's a FPS_readme.txt file. This happens mostly with laptops deciding to use integrated GFX card. The FPS_readme should be in your steam folder. If this doesn't fix please let me know!

I've read it and I'm not using integrated card (neither g-sync).

I'm in the same case than you, I followed the instruction but after a few minutes, the fps drop (and yes I'm using a laptop) I don't know if there is a way to fix this or if you will be able to optimize the game well enough but if you can't do anything about it, tell us =)
(You should also warn laptop user about that, it's a pretty big issue in my opinion because, you can't play the game as smoothly as you should and it really ruins the fun).

What about... Nvidia Geforce Overlay, and Windows gaming overlay? How bad is the FPS like it really shouldn't be an issue on a 610m card... it's very strange

I have, as I wrote, around 24 fps. It is pretty strange indeed, as I notice fps drops even in the main menu (although I need to set higher quality for that). No windows gaming overlay (there is no such thing in windows 7 or I'm not aware of it), no nvidia overlay (if you mean nvidia experience).

im having the same issue. the game is unplayably slow.. i dont understand how a game with so little graphics lags terrily when i cant run stuff like bioshock fine... i really wanna play this game but.. its unplayae with how slow and laggy its running... ive tried all the things in the fps read me. nothing helped.

:steamsalty: 24fps is at least the true cinematic experience. What's the target fps or is there any lock?
Bahamut123 May 29, 2018 @ 12:13pm
Target FPS is 30, but it's really strange that the FPS_readme suggestions didn't help. I'm trying to figure out what could be causing the problem right now, but it's tough without having said PC to try it on.

980ti, game was running at <10 fps before disabling G-Sync, 28 afterwards.

Refunded game until this is fixed.

If you're running on a laptop, could you please check the FPS_readme file in the game folder and try those things. If your machine is trying to use your integrated GFX card it's a system problem, if problems still persist. Let me know.

The game runs fine in 30 fps in windowed, but slows to 10 fps in full screen. I have a one year old rig, so I would suggest you either have something buggy going on, or you have some optimizations issues to fix.

Edit - so I tried the Alt-Tab suggestion from another thread and it now works. Very strange

Oh boy. I am currently in a hotel, not at home. So I will probably try it out this evening with an old i7 notebook and a Quaddro 880m. Will report how it went then. ^^

I'm running the game with a 1080ti and an 8700k and I'm also experiencing choppiness with dips from 24-27 fps.
I've applied all of the suggested fixes, disabled windows fullscreen optimization, and disabled gsync.
Lightpowder May 30, 2018 @ 4:58pm
So the FPS is capped at 30 and you can't get it to 60?

Do u use a 144hz monitor? Might need to disable vsync there.
