Job Maps on HGTV and Pets DLC not accessable

I purchased both the Pets and HGTV DLC's a while ago. Both glitched by loading all the accessories and job maps but was unable to access the job map on either
DLC and therefore no pets appeared in the game.
Was so disappointed and got a refund from Steam for both (which was great. Thanks Steam!) but am reluctant to purchase any further DLC's or even try HF2 because of the glitches. I still have all the accessories ... pet beds/ kennels etc and can place them in my current games. The Job Maps still can open and they show the houses to begin with for each DLC. I know I can't play them now because of the refund.
My PC is new and specifically purchased for games:
Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13400F 2.50 GHz
Installed RAM: 32.0 GB (31.8 GB usable)
System type: 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
I've verified the game files and everything seems ok.
Has anyone else this problem? What did you do to solve it?

Tonight I repurchased the HGTV DLC and ensured it as loaded correctly. I have all of the items but the JOB MAP WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO SELECT THE FIRST JOB TO PLAY THE DLC.
PLEASE HELP!!!!

Did you right clic on the game in steam library, select dlc and activate the new dlcs (green thingy in front)???

I cant remember because it was about 4 months ago. I just purchased a DLC for Planet Zoo and did add the DLC in the manner you suggested, so it's possible I did.
I might try again and purchased the HF DLC's again. Thanks for sparking a memory (or not).
