Painting Bug
Cannot complete jobs to 100% in a couple houses related to the pets dlc, due to painting rooms not being 100% even though I cannot find the walls missed.... just wanted to make you aware. I cannot remember the job names but they are in the pets section and one I think is the first one and the other is four or five jobs later.

Have you checked the walls around windows and doors? I know that in some of the earlier jobs from the base game there were instances where you had to paint inside the window frame or the job wouldn't count as 100%. If you've already done that then its definitely a bug, but just thought I'd mention that just in case because a lot of people had that issue before.

I have this problem in two rooms of the Home Clinic job. In one room it complains about the paint (the room mixes wallpaper and paint), in another it's paneling, both are stuck at 99% and I am absolutely 100% positive I have not missed any wall section nor anyplace else. With paint it can be hard to see, so I went over every section with the roller again, and no, I had not missed any. With paneling it's a lot more obvious whether something is missing.

And yes, I painted/paneled around windows and door frames, which does not usually count in this DLC -- and did not count in this case either.

Tomorrow I'll paint those rooms white and redo them from scratch to see whether I get the same result. This has notably not happened to me in the jobs OP was talking about, so it's not something that happens to everybody, some conditions must be screwy. If I am in the mood I verify my game files and restart the job, but right now I am almost done and can't be arsed.

As an aside, I despise, with the passion of a thousand suns, this nickel-and-time section counting, 20 of this, 38 of that. Just tell me what treatment to slap on the walls, and let me decide the proportions myself; nobody enjoys software that acts like a prison warden.

Yes, I checked and rechecked several times going over each paintable surface, I even painted the ceiling just in case. I can't get past 95% in one house and I think the other is stuck somewhere in the 80% range... I of course just finished both without getting to 100%. Just posted the issue so the devs would know.... but thanks for checking!

to the OP. I had this issue in the Clinic Job, figured out where that one panel in the old garage is/was. Its in the stairwell. You'll see between the railing a white wall. I paneled the whole wall and it cleared it out. Thought I'd help!

Thank you! I will check that out next time I play that job!

Why didn't they just do the ceilings like they do the roof peaks and overhangs on the outside, making the entire area one single action? Seems like that would help....

Not sure what the ceiling has to do with hidden panels in a staircase

My statement was a response or rather an agreement to to statement 'Sorry devs, but this is justt horrible, horrible design.' from one of the other commentors, somehow I got it all out of context, I appologize. However, I stand by my question as it relates to the painting (all of it) mechanics since the last update/dlc.

Yeah, I found that one; I got stuck afterwards. But those sorts of spots are well worth watching out for; stairways can hide so much of a section that it's barely visible.

In any case, the problem was gone the next time I logged in. I was all ready to do battle, but both rooms were at 100%. Could be that the latest patch fixed it.
