No door on main house/door blocked off

I downloaded the game after a year of not playing. now my door is blocked off... no way of getting back in. cant get new missions from the computer bc the door is blocked off...

I havn't seen this yet on my system once, not sure why so many run into it

Since you've not played in a while, you may not be aware of a couple of changes in the game. We can now move windows and exterior doors to different locations. The process is the same for both. Several people seem to have lost the door to their property (like you) when they added the option to move the door. You can try purchasing a new door to get into the house. If you find that you cannot place it where the door originally was located, you can place it somewhere else on the house. Some people have been unable to place the door in the original location because the door is sort of "stuck" in the wall. If that's the case, then after you enter the house via the new door, you should be able to delete the original "stuck" door and then put a new door there or wherever you'd like in the house.

To place a new door/window, just follow these steps.
1. Delete the old door.
2. Purchase the new door/window.
3. When you purchase a new door/window, an outline will appear on the wall. Find the location that you want to place it and click your mouse.
4. When you click your mouse, a hammer will appear in your hand. Use the hammer on the wall.
5. Press "E"

Hopefully, purchasing a new door will do the trick for you.

his issue is a different one, several are saying the wall is unbreakable even when a door is added.

I got this aswell. There is a door there which you can see when you try to place a new door, but there are 4 pieces of wall which are indestructible due to it being outside walls.

I just updated the game and I'm having this issue... if I sell the front door while inside of the house, I can't smash down the wall to open it and i have to reload my previous save. I would recommend verifying your game. Mine had 2 missing files to download.

1. build new door (you can locate them next to the old door)
2. open old door
3. try to sell old door
4. build door on place of the old door
