Sound keeps playing

I keep my sound off when playing. every time for the past two days, the sound is on. yes, i go to my setting, double and triple check, and i still have sound, music all of it. Driving me mad. I turn the volume buttons down, still the music and talking. *ugh*

Have you tried clicking on the banner in the upper right corner and making sure that's not the source of the noise. I know it was when I was having the same issue. I muted the noise/music from the trailer in the banner and it went away.

@Bloomette YES!!! I am experiencing exactly THIS and I've submitted a bug report a week ago and nothing has changed. The music is the annoying banjo stuff likely from the new DLC ... and it overlaps with some woman talking sometimes. The regular sane (relaxing) music also plays for a very short time but it's always interrupted by this banjo loop. I've also turned my sound OFF in settings ... ALL of the settings are set to OFF to no effect. I used to sometimes play my Itunes and just turn off the music setting ingame but nothing is working now except simply turning my speakers to almost off ... this music is LOUD also btw. SUPER ANNOYING and idk where the devs are??

Click on the banner in the upper right hand corner of the main menu. It's usually for some game from the guys the made House Flipper. It will take you to the store page for that game and it will have a game trailer playing. Pause and mute the trailer and the annoying sound loop will go away.

Thank yall! For me it was the Honeycomb trailer playing somewhere who knows where. I had to click the video on mainmenu that opened a separate window and BOOM there it was. Had to close all the tabs from there

What a ridiculous thing to have to "fix" by closing some dumb window/video we never even clicked on. I have NEVER, in the four years I've been playing HF, had this happen until now. All of a sudden that !@$# country music started playing, despite my sound controls being OFF, and I couldn't figure it out. Glad to have found this post.
