Game Crashed When Loading Oceanside Villa Again
I bought Oceanside Villa (The casino house) and was halfway through my renovation before exiting and saving the game last night. When I opened the game again today and tried to get back to the renovation, the game just crashed with a Unity 2019.4.39f1_78d14dfa024b error. :er_sad: Windows event viewer says UnityPlayer.dll in the Steam House Flipper folder is the cause but I don't know how to fix it.
I only owned 2 DLCs for this game: Luxury and Pets if that helps.

Try verifying the game files as it sounds like that file is corrupt
I've gotten the exact same crash on three occasions trying to get into my reno for Oceanside Villa. I'm able to access other renovations and jobs, though I haven't yet tried to re-do the job that introduces the villa. I've already verified game files as well.

Verified the game files and it didn't help :er_sad:
I tried verifying again and trying to load...same crash again. I was still able to do other jobs; it just seems like the Oceanside Villa has something seriously wrong.
Last update the game crash load the Falling Water
I've been re-doing the "Gangsta's paradise (lost)" job with no problems, but the Oceanside Villa house reno still won't load.
Same issue with oceanside villa. error pops up- "house flipper unity 2019.4.39f1_78d14dfa024b"

Hey I had this problem and it has been driving me crazy for the past few months. I seem to have found a workaround for it, so I wanted to share it here for anyone else still struggling:

DISCLAIMER: this involves editing the game files on PC to effectively reset progress on the house to where you have not even purchased it yet -- but it works. I cannot for legal reasons recommend editing game files since one keystroke mistake could potentially mess the game up, causing you to have to uninstall and re-install the game. So if you do what I did, make sure you SAVE A COPY of the 'PlayerProgress.dat' file BEFORE EDITING it (I put a copy of it and the 'PlayerProgress.dat.backup' on my desktop while testing).

The file you're looking for is at this file path in Windows 11:
C:\Users\[your username]\AppData\LocalLow\Empyrean\House Flipper Game\Profiles\Profile 1

The 'AppData' folder is a hidden folder, so if you don't see it, go to the View menu at the top of the Windows File Explorer and check the box for Hidden Items.

AFTER SAVING A COPY OF THE FILE in another folder under a slightly altered name (I made mine 'PlayerProgress-OG.dat'), Edit the 'PlayerProgress.dat' file by right-clicking and choosing Edit or Open with an app like Notepad.

Scroll down to a section titled "housesProgress" and under the first sub-header "boughtHouseScenes", completely delete the line that contains the object:
"Luxury_SiarasParadise_ForSale"
This is what this specific game file calls the house known as "Oceanside Villa" in the game. Makes sure there are no extra line breaks or space characters before you save the file. REMEMBER TO SAVE before exiting out of the file.

Go back to Steam and launch the game normally. The house "Oceanside Villa" will be available to purchase again and start over from scratch.

NOTE ON THE OTHER CRASH: during my playthrough after this fix, I interacted with the Roy Window in the Shop on the Tablet and it did cause a (known but different) game crash. I was nervous that I had broken my file again, but the game loaded back up normally on launch and I was able to go back to the Oceanside Villa house and resume my renovation. So the fix worked but you should still avoid that Roy Window (I just stuck with Jerry windows for replacements instead).

I successfully finished my renovation and sold the house, which now appears in the 'PlayerProgress.dat' file at the bottom of the list under the "soldHouseScenes" heading.

Good luck - hope this helps!
