Achievements trouble
I have been working on some achievements but they haven't been unlocked despite being done for hours. I read up on the issue and it seems that the admin code may have been the problem. I saw that you could enter a code to essentially get cheats and I did it because I was curious. I didn't cheat because that ruins the point of the game and quit without saving after entering the code. Anybody have a resolution that will allow me to unlock the achievements again?

Same here.
I have completed all the orders received by mail, I have sold different houses to different buyers. No achievement.

I've asked this questions as well, after losing all my account money (nearly $20 million) when the Steam Cloud backup reset me to two years ago, after I had to reinstall Windows (so no local save). I'm not cheating either: I have plenty of posted videos and screenshots showing my account balance, and I have over 1600 hours in the game, as can be seen on my profile.

Now my profile has "Cheat" next to my name (inside the game, when I load the game), which makes me really sad because I never cheat at games -- what would be the point? The only reason I used the "cheat" was to regain my account without having to repeat many hours of redoing all the Luxury DLC jobs, which can take as long as 2 hours each.

I wish the devs could provide a solution for this.

Tutorial: Removing Cheat Flag from House Flipper Save

  1. Go to C:\Users\YOUR NAME\AppData\LocalLow\Empyrean\House Flipper Game\Profiles.
  2. Open the folder associated with the profile you want to fix. Example: the second save is found in Profile 2.
  3. Make a backup of the files PlayerProgress.dat and PlayerProgress.dat.backup before doing anything else just in case.
  4. Open the files PlayerProgress.dat and PlayerProgress.dat.backup in Notepad.
  5. Find the line "cheatModeTriggered": true, and change the line to "cheatModeTriggered": false, in both files.
  6. Save the files.
  7. Open your game and enjoy your fixed save!

I did this recently because I hadn't been getting achievements on my old save for the longest time and had no idea why, so I can confirm this works.

(Turns out it was because I had used the stopsun cheat because I'm visually impaired and I was having trouble seeing in the night time in the game even with the flashlight and everything, and this was before the day/night toggle was an option in the menu, lol.)

Anyway, I hope it helps the three of you!

(First time using formatting by the way, I hope I didn't mess it up, lol.)

Thank you! I'm trying it out now. Will update after I open the game to see if it worked.
Update: It DID remove "cheat" next to my name in the in-game Profiles list...now I just have to repeat all the Pets DLC jobs to see if it triggers the Achievements.

Update 2: So far so good! I've had three (3) Achievements triggered....seems all is back the way it should be. Thank you so much, Spectrophilias!!!

[FR]

[ENG] Hello again.
(Thanks for the tutorial.)
It does not apply for my case. I started the game from scratch (I'm doing the base game, although I bought the pet dlc and do the first two missions) I prefer to "finish" the base achievements.
From January 2 to 5, no prob.
Then all of a sudden, the last of the buyers (the woman from the included DLC "Bunker") was not counted. The only difference is that I closed the game while I was renovating the bunker intended for her.
There's just Samantha's house left, but I don't think she's buying it. Also, it would be a waste to sell a bunker dlc character a big house.
I also sold a house twice (at least) with a profit of more than 50,000 euros. The first I traded to exceed the amount, the second the number was already reached, although I traded for more. No achievements either.

Thank you!

If you don't mind, I'd like to add your post to the guide section. No doubt, it will help other players, since it won't be buried in a later thread in the forum. Naturally, I want to give the credit to you and will make reference to your post directly. As well, I am asking in case you wish to add it to the guide yourself. :steamhappy:

EDIT: typo.

Not meaning to be awkward, but I think that's Spectrophilias' call to make, since he posted the solution originally.

THANK YOU <3
I had checked the wiki page to make sure it wouldn't brick achievements before I togged admin mode and there was no mention. I just used noclip to try and find an item I needed to sell that had fallen through the floor :(
