Family Home - Can't place kitchen counters near the power socket

In the usual place where the kitchen is in Family Home I had to repair a power socket. After doing so, I cannot place a kitchen counter near the wall as it counts as being too close.

So now either I have to leave the space open/ let the counter stick our, or I have to place the whole kitchen one step out which looks hideous.

I don't remember this happening before, is this a new bug or will I just have to place the kitchen somewhere else?

I also noticed that I can't place floor moulding either on top of the power outlet, although I could place it fine on the other side of the room (near the door to the garden)

You can sell the outlet. I tend to do that a lot so that they don't get in the way. People who buy my houses will just have to charge their phone at work.

Because the outlet is on the outside wall I can't knock it down and the game doesn't seem to let me sell it. Any other way I can make sure I can sell it?

I thought that after it was fixed it could be sold like the other power outlets... that sucks.

Yee, it's very annoying, but I did notice that when placing counters, if I place two smaller ones they will work together as the block is actually pretty small. Very annoying, but can be overcome
