House Flipper

House Flipper

Statistiche:
Game keeps freezing
Every 5 minutes or so my game freezes up and takes 30 seconds to a minute to unfreeze. My PC specs are Intel i7 10750H 16G ram and nvidia 2070 super mobile version. What can be done to fix the issue?

I'm having freezing/very slow loading (both when starting the game and when moving from the office to a house or from one house to another house, etc.) -- at one point it was taking almost 8 full minutes just to load the game (see my post on these discussion forums with that title).

My rig is built to handle VR, which it does beautifully. This game is not at all optimized, and causes even the best computers to chug and struggle.

Here are the results of my 3DMark benchmark tests from last night: https://imgur.com/a/h2jjqWL

TL:DR: My computer performs better than 84% of computers worldwide. (see the online comparison results at the link above for proof)

So it's not my machine, it's the game. Even as hard as 3DMark was pushing my rig, with FAR more intensive graphics than House Flipper, it was smooth as butter. In House Flipper, it's jerky and laggy and drops frames.

Sad.

p.s. We built this computer specifically to be able to play AAA video games, if I wanted to, though mostly we built it so I could use it for VR, which takes tremendous resources, at 144Hz. This game I have set for max 60fps and it sloggggggggs.

Thank you, I figured it had to be the game. I bought my Laptop and made sure it surpassed the requirements too. Unless they just upped the PC requirements to 2020 items then the game should run very smoothly for me too. It actually used to before the workshop came so maybe the bugs are there somewhere..
That freezing you're seeing every 5 minutes is the game auto-saving I believe. Happens to everyone including me. @chin4grci4 if your computer SLOGS playing this game..it is most definitely your computer. I'm playing on a GTX1070 and an i5@3.33 GHZ with the game on max settings and it runs like absolute butter.

Well, mine is freezing and taking forever to load, when it runs like butter on 3DMark (see link above to my benchmark results) but stutters and struggles in House Flipper *but no other games*, not even VR.

I know about the auto-save, and I know it freezes then. So that's not it, at least in my case.

My issues are more because the game is poorly optimized and I'm not your typical "bed, sofa, chair" HF designer. My houses are close to photorealistic, with many custom images.

I'm also working on an ultrawide at 3440x1440, though 99% of the time I'm running the game at a lower resolution and windowed to prevent motion sickness. (I only use Exclusive Fullscreen when videoing the houses.)

Okay so looking at this and considering the fact that you're using a mobile version of the 2070 super, I figured it may be an overheating issue.
I'm totally not sure about this but it might be a good idea to take a look at the GPU temps when playing House Flipper.

Also, has it ever happened during playing some other games?

Reczberg I have it on a cooling pad and lifted all surrounding areas are cleared. The game did not lag for me until workshop was added so it has to be that.

No it does not happen with other games just House Flipper.

I'm having the same issue. I have played the game for, I don't know, maybe a year without any issues. However, since the workshop was added (and I love the new items), it takes the computer a LONG time to load, then moves slower than usual, and freezes every few minutes. I've tried playing over the past three days and, with each passing day, it takes less time before it stops Windows from running at all and I have to do a hard shut down. Today, I couldn't even get the game to load before Windows stopped working. My other games run just fine. Also, the computer (laptop) has started getting hot when this game is running. It's quite frustrating.

I'm having slow-load/freezing issues as well, especially with the Workshop items (which I, too, love and don't want to give up). Sometimes it halts in the middle of gameplay and just sits there -- NOT saving. It also takes a long time to load the game, to load the office (which is extremely minimal), to load one of my houses, etc. Every transition from one place to the next is a great opportunity to go reheat coffee or make a sandwich. -_-

Since yesterday's update (1/15/21), things are even worse. It takes the game a long time to load, but once it does, I can get into the office and open the computer. However, once I select the house I want to go to, the game gets permanently stuck on loading that house. I tried changing the graphics from "good" to "high quality" (I think it was) just a few minutes ago, and still could not get to the house to work on it.
Just adding a 'me too' to this.

Been having this problem since the workshop update. It's not when the game is saving, i see those happening, but the other freezing is happening in between those saves. It's every 10 to 20 minutes for me that it happens and it freezes for at least 10 seconds. Sometimes it never unfreezes and i have to force close the game. My tablet can get stuck open on the screen, but i can hear myself moving around as if it's closed.

I'm not having a loading issue though, just the freezes.

Win7
I5-4690k @3.6Ghz
GTX 1060 6Gb
16 Gb Ram
Game is on HDD

Temps are fine on everything...no drop in fps.

My experience is similar to Puddy's: freezing for at least 10 seconds, at intervals, *not* when saving.

To show that it's not my PC, here are my 3DMark test results:

As I've said before, this rig was built to handle VR, so it's more than capable of handling PC games. But whenever I'm running House Flipper, it's literally using 95-100% of my GPU (monitored by NZXT Cam).
got same issue keeps freezing every 10 mins hope they fix this as getting anoying
I have the same problem!!! I've been playing for over a year! For me this game is a certain and necessary relaxation and rest. And I don't want and can't start going through it again at all :((( Millions of money in the account and thousands of hours of time...
After the Workshop showed up and downloaded it - downloaded almost all the items! I was happy it was possible. The game got better! But the time to load the game, increasingly slower than usual, the game hangs. I thought this was due to possible problems from the workshop files. Many of the items were clearly making it harder/delayed and not displaying correctly in the game. I've tried playing for the last three days, starting with the lowest quality of the game, thinking it was a problem with my computer, but and each day it gets less and less before the game stops working altogether and I have to shut down completely. Shutting down the computer! Since the game doesn't respond to the keyboard.
But today, it's not good at all! I can load the game until I am offered the option to "continue the game" ... then the location in the house where I have the office. That's it, I'm blocked near the fence. I'm near the fence and no reaction to the keyboard!!!! Mouse, mini-map works. But I can not move. The "exit over the fence" option also does not work, as "E" and then it does not respond to the keyboard...
Computer/drivers are completely normal. Other games work fine.
What to do? How to restore and return to the game? I do not want to start over.
Sorry for the translation.

I thought I'd give the game another try tonight. I won't load at all. It gets stuck on the loading screen. I waited about 10 minutes with no success. I tried to shut it down with cntl+esc, but that didn't work. Nothing worked. It even caused Windows to stop working. Really bummed as HF is one of my favorite games.
Reczberg  [sviluppatore] 28 gen 2021, ore 18:26
Now I'm starting to wonder what would happen if you unsubscribed to all the workshop items you have on your list. It seems that the prolonged loading times only occur in some rare cases as most of the players are perfectly happy with the Workshop feature.
Of course, we will try to help you as soon as possible, but the hard thing here is that it would be hard to reproduce your issue.

For now, we know that it's probably not an overheating issue and that even beast PCs can have this problem. Workshop support for House Flipper is quite new so we still have to do a lot of research when it comes to possible bugs.
Sorry for the inconvenience guys, we'll try to handle it asap!

...Cheers!
