Can't Finish First HGTV Job - "Tiling and Paneling not available yet"

I have finished all but 6 TASKS. I have unlocked pretty much everything. I did the NECESSARY EXTRA BATHROOM quest.

I got do the first HGTV quest and get to where I need to lay Tiles. I buy tiles but it gives me the message that Tiling is unavailable.

I think this is a bug because when I did the NECESSARY EXTRA BATHROOM quest, I never received a message that Tiling was unlocked. How can I get it unlocked for the HGTV part of the game?

You need to work on the email jobs in the base game, it will unlock all the tools you need working on the house, same for the outdoor tools on Garden Flipper (emails with the flower icon)

All of the emails are gone. I have worked them all. Still, I go to HGTV first house and it says TILING is still locked. Basically, at this point, I cannot do any of the HGTV missions until my Tiling is unlocked.

It should of been unlocked by doing the email jobs.... which is where everyone should be starting out in the game. However, the HGTV home jobs will not allow tools you normally have unlocked if that isn't required for the job. Like.... and this is the case in email jobs too.... you will not be able to mow their lawn if the job doesn't request it. In the case where one little section needs mowed but, the rest don't.... you can still mow everything. Just not if there is no request for mowing... the mower / weed eater will be blocked. But, if you're running into this in every HGTV home, you're game must be bugged cuz, I definitely remember doing some tiling work in some of them.

YEP. . . I feel silly! I went back in and the job asked for FLOOR tile. I bought wall tile. The job does not require wall tiles. Oh brother! Thanks, Mardoin69, for turning me in that direction. Helped a lot!!!
