Horse Stall Help!

I built a stable, bought a horse but when I put the horse in the stall (you can't lead him in, you must ride him in because he won't follow you in) and when I closed the door he disappeared. I thought I'd lost him completely until after a search of my property I found him outside on the side of the stable stall where I put him. Are the horses not meant to use the stalls? If not then what is the stall for? Looks? I sure hope not. Also, could we please get a toggle for saddled/unsaddled? My horse looks annoyed having to wear his saddle non-stop.

EDIT: Horse won't jump the jumps either. Just rears up in front of them. On a brighter note he does just fit through the gate and he will follow you through if you have him in follow mode.

If you're riding the horse, head for a jump and hit the space bar right before you reach it. The horse will jump over it, however, you won't see it as your point of view is too limited while riding. You will just keep going forward without stopping.

Apparently it's a bug then, because mine jumps erratically but never gets over the fence..

You have to have it set to "Follow Me" to get it to move when you're riding it

Still won't go in the stall, whether I'm riding it or not, even having 'follow me' checked. As for jumping the fences, no dice....

I have the same problem with one of the stalls I built as well. And I also found her outside the barn after she disappeared. I assumed it was a glitch that would eventually be fixed and left her in the field in the meantime. If it still happens later I'll try moving the stall and see it that helps. I plan to eventually move to a different property so I wasn't going to worry too much about it unless it happened there too.
