I don’t understand how the House Building tool works.

I bought the Farm DLC just for this. I completed the first mission and unlocked it. I can place the foundation and pick Build, but it just builds semi invisible walls with blue lines.

I can’t interact with the walls at all. If I bring out the House Building tool again, it doesn’t do anything. The buttons for modify or demolish do nothing and I can’t switch out, effectively stuck. I lost money because I tried Save and Exit. Reloaded save and saw no foundation, but money wasn’t refunded.

After laying the foundations you have to move away from them and press 'E' to actually build the walls

The walls got built. They just look blue and uninteractable.

Right-click your mouse button to bring up the standard tools menu; press Q to access the new tool menu; select hands from that menu. This should take you out of the building mode.

I can at least confirm that the latest patch fixed this issue.
