It wouldn't be house flipper if they allowed that so vanilla houses will never be allowed to be deleted completely..... and besides if you want to build your own from scratch Farm DLC comes with 3 empty plots to do it once you unlock them in the browser (optional for players like you without taking away the original point of the game)
I was hoping for proper basements, or attics, the ability to destroy roofs and replace them with different kinds of types. But halas.
I'm sure they'll take the feedback from this and carry it over to HF2
In the last HF2 livestream, they showed different roof shapes and attics and basements so that will be in HF2. As for the architect tool in the current game, what we got would be a compromise based on the the game engine used as well as years of code that would of had to be rewritten to get it to work the way everyone thought it would
But you are right - the fact that gutters and porches are "obstacles", as far as the Architect tool is concerned, limits the building options somewhat...
Also, I'm just curious: Is the Architect tool even properly usable without the Garden DLC installed? Because bushes are obstacles too, and I believe you need the Garden DLC to be able to sell them.
The whole "architect tool" is pointless besides trying to be a "teaser" for what (might) be in HF2
just put a nice outdoor walking path around the parts that have obstacles in the way, here is an example I did at garage with bunker plot, instead of trying to do full wall I just did a couple short hallways, the bunker stairs were on that same corner anyway
