You can still control the door direction to an extent as it, placing from inside vs outside will change which wall it's flush with.
But being able to choose in which direction the doors open would be extra beneficial.
But yeah, I do agree with need same variant of door that are flipped. Sometime I put it near a wall and it's fine if I go out but once I go in, it blocks X items off that's an important part of the room I don't necessarily want to "hide".
I wouldn't roll back, I like placing doors wherever I want: I wouldn't trade it off.
They are aware they were told and already said they knew about it, it's not the ONLY issue: They just want the door open from the other side from what I understood (*Without flipping the inside to be outside if that makes sense*). There's a VERY FEW doors that already switch the side but not enough: Most of them are exterior doors on top of that.
