Um, my house has been boarded up

I just downloaded the new pets patch and my house's door was replaced by a wall that I can't demolish. I can't get into my house!! Help!!

The way I understand it just putting in a door will work.

Try looking for an exterior door in the tablet shop.
Of course, the wall shouldn't appear and it's a bug, but you should be able to place new doors on your external walls, as it is a new mechanic for all of the players that got implemented along with the Pets DLC release.

I had this exact same problem! I tried the above suggestion of placing a new external door (I got in through the garage and tried selling the old front door, which was still embedded in the wall.) Even after selling the original door, I couldn't place a new one in the same spot, and had to put the new one next to it. The new door spawned embedded in the wall as well. Using the sledgehammer on it broke down the wall (not something that's supposed to work on the external walls of the house), but the prompt to open the door remained. So I open the door that didn't exist, and it popped into place in the wall, looking like it was supposed to. The spot where the original door was is still the gross old yellow of the wall when you load in the house. I'll have to try painting it.

This solution does not work. I cannot enter ANY of my houses. This game is now unplayable. Please fix this bug.

That's strange as I downloaded the game last night, Went to my house and just popped in a new door without a problem.

I reported this bug earlier. It happened for me because I used a door designated for interiors as an exterior door.

I also have this issue. I managed to get most of my doors fixed but my front door (Historic House) was from the workshop and is now stuck in the wall and I cannot sell it or move it. I also reported it. I have put a lot of work into this house and am sad that I cannot fix this.

I had this issue as well...turns out it was one of the workshop mods I had downloaded. Once I unsubbed to that workshop mod, I was then able to put an external door in it's place with no problem.
