Latest Update broke the office

The latest update broke my office building. The only door into the house was changed into a black wall which does not permit entry into the house. It cannot be hit with a sledge hammer either.

I was able to work around this by installing a new doorway into the house.

Looking at the wall, it is much thicker than it used to be. Also, the interior wall is painted black, while on the outside the new 'addition' is painted black. On the interior, where this happened is white, chipped paint.

The far side of the interior of the building, opposite of where I placed the new doorway, has a big black box around it, as if I was trying to add a new window.

So far, going through various houses I have purchased and awaiting renovation / sale, the office is the only building being screwed up.

It could perhaps be to selling the door and leaving it open?

This happened to me too, the first time I launched the game after installing the Pets DLC. My office is "the accountant's house." No front door, so I picked up a section of fence so I could go around back...no back door either. I didn't even think of trying to install a new door. I went right for the sledge. *facepalm* Fortunately, installing a door frame allowed me to demo my way in.

I have no outside doors. Lmao. I haven't even bought the pets dlc yet.

Same issue. The walls are now 2 thickness instead of 1 thickness. I can demolish where the new door was placed (inside the wall) but it leaves behind a frame you can't get rid of. So no door on the office for the time being. Hopefully will get fixed with a quick patch update.

A new exterior door placement mechanic has been implemented for all the players and it's not Pets DLC exclusive.

This may be a good workaround, but try it out and let us know if it works.

I paused my download. I didn't know what it was for and with all the problems recently...Glad I did I wouldn't want to be locked out of my office. Might put the laptop out on the back porch just incase.

Just logged in after downloading the update. My office is a mess lol. No windows, doors, half my wall tiles/paint is gone, and my floor. Figuring all this out should be fun.

Just logged in after it downloaded the update and everything is fine with my office. I haven't bought the Pet DLC but it is good to know we can do the same now with doors as we can the windows. Going to try it out later.
