Blinds are too narrow for the windows.
I believe this started with an update... the blinds and shades no longer fit the windows. They are so narrow that there are several inches of space on each side and it looks terrible!
I've been seeing complaints by other players as well.
I'm trying to deal with it by placing curtains, but that can't be done with all the windows, and with the double windows there is a wide open space in the middle. It really ruins the appearance of the room.
Dev's, I pressed F12 to make a picture of it . I don't know how to post it here or I would so you could see for yourself firsthand.
I hope that there will be a fix/patch for this in the future.

Hit escape in game, there's an "!" in the top left corner, click on that, and a page to report issues will pop up with an option for screen shots and a couple hundred characters of writing space to explain the issue.

the complaints you are seeing from other players was only on a specific HGTV mission where they couldn't be mounted at al but this was fixed in a patchl, the complaint you are doing are just gaps between the blinds itself, this is normal though.... they don't always come together and a little bit of light will still come through just like in real life

This problem is particularly bad with Roman blinds, maybe they are meant to be combined with curtains. It's a lot less noticeable with "Clotho" blinds, and doesn't seem to be a problem at all with the cheapest slatted ones. I'm not sure why that is... Must be some sort of scaling issue.
