When an objective says to use two different wall tiles, how do you place them?

Probably a dumb question, but I'm on an early job where you have to place two different gray tiles in a bathroom. I know you can place them however you want, but what is the "correct" way of placing them? Let's call them tile 1 and tile 2. Where should you place the tile 1s and where should you place the tile 2s?

I just forgot to use the 2nd color and the task was fulfilled.

It is usually ok to pick one colour of the two, unless the objective specifies the Exact Number of tiles to be placed (it does in some expansions).

When I get two colors, I usually put some in the corners, and then use the other color to fill in the middle. Or, if it's, say, a kitchen or bathroom, I use wallpaper for the "workspace" - such as the counters or the bathtub/shower, and the rest of the color for the rest of the room. Conversely, there's a concept called an "accent wall", in which you use, for example, one color for three walls, and the other color for the fourth. Lastly, because I'm not personally a fan of the tiles they want you to use, or they ask you to use a tile that's the same or similar as floor tiles, such in bathrooms, I just don't use the second color/tile at all, unless there's a specified amount required.

There really isn't a "right" way to do it, because it's all about how you want to design the interior.
