Only 10 House's with HGTV dlc
I think the new HGTV dlc is good,Theres a few things here and there that could be changed a little but theres plenty of other posts on here from other peeps.
When i saw the new map of the town i was hoping that we would get 20+house to flip but we only get 10.
Or do you think the devs will open up other houses at a later date etc ?
To be honest it would be great to do all of the houses in town .:steamhappy:
And maybe walk around the town ?
What do you think ?
Cheers.

Thankfully we only have 10! I'm so tired of using the money buying paints. There's no blueprint for what needs to be done. I don't know if you did the uninvited guests house but it's impossible to complete the painting in the kitchen.

Paint the walls forest mist, clear forest mist off the list of things to do- paint the walls white, clear white off the things to do list - paint the walls forest mist, Back On The List Of Things To Do! Over and over and over between paint the walls white and paint the walls forest mist!

I Hate the jobs

Here's a screenshot of it asking for plaster on the wall. Which I already did when it wasn't on the list so I could paint the wall. Now I can't do the plaster part that's on the list because it's already done.

I was hoping for all the houses on the map. Unless, they will be available one day !? I was hoping for a lot more with this DL.

Some of the houses we did get are awesome though, loving the loft style ones, I just can't decide which to move into!

That may be including the room next door as its open looking at your map.
Look at the fine tuned one when you are in the room under task i believe.

I painted both rooms and it would complete one paint color then say the other paint color needed to be done. I finally gave up and ended the job with the kitchen saying it needed to be finished painting. I make more money flipping the houses than I do on jobs in the base game or the DLCs.

Eta. I reset the job because the first time I went with the laundry room and after tearing down the walls I couldn't figure out where to build the half walls. I didn't try to do the kitchen that time. After resetting the job I tried to do the kitchen and had the issue with the painting part not completing, so I reset the job again, still couldn't complete the painting. Then I couldn't plaster because I had plastered and painted before it said to plaster. So I reset the job again and ended the job with the kitchen saying it needed to be painted white or forest mist in a never ending cycle. In total I reset the job 4 times.

In all of the rooms where it calls for the walls to be part paint, part tile, I would put the tile parts on a wall with a window, just the number of tiles it calls for, because it takes up more of the tiles (& usually looks nicer) and then the rest I paint. I've had no trouble on any of the rooms this way.
There was one where I just freely busted out walls & rebuilt them without regard to the mini map, and that one I did have to start over because it never would track correctly until I did- but by following their plan it was easy.

You are not alone...
That house is driving me crazy...

If it tells you to paint a number of wall pieces like 0/40 or something, then don't paint any more than that for it to count if it also asks for a second wall colour of a set amount. For example there was a bathroom in one which wanted a 15 of those bubble tiles, 4 strips of amaranth adventure (the neon pink) and 40 of silver glacier, but I couldn't figure out where to put the extra bubble tiles after tiling around the shower that would look good, so just placed a couple extra pieces so they'd look nice behind the sink. But doing that meant that there were not enough walls to paint silver by one. And as there needed to be 4 behind the sink for it to look right, I just took finishing that job at 99% because I didn't want my after photos to look bad! lol
Perhaps that is the issue you are having? If it asks you to paint/tile two colours you need to pay attention to the exact numbers. This isn't like in the base game where you could just pick one of the two suggested by the job and paint the whole room. You only do that if it shows a percent symbol. But those rooms only ask for the one paint type.

Though on the house where it needed plastering in the kitchen, I didn't see that on the list. I just did it instinctively since I've played enough hours of the base game to understand that I need to do that when there are those obvious patches that need filling. So didn't see it disappear or not disappear. If you buy something that isn't yet shown on the right hand side (from the task list in the tablet) then that disappears from the list even if its not showing on the screen yet. That should be the same thing for completing tasks. So perhaps you need to repair your game files to fix that issue.

Oh and also if you combine rooms by knocking down walls, then it merges the item lists. So it seems like maybe that's what you did here? You also seem confused about where to place half walls - those go where they are marked on the mini map. The mini map shows walls in a few ways - red = ones to be knocked down, yellow/orange = partially destroyed, green = build here please, and white = don't need editing/done being built. For the tasks which ask you to combine rooms, like to have a kitchen-diner, they don't actually mean to have them combined, they mean knock down the full walls joining them and replace them with half walls. So you can walk through without there needing to be a doorway, and get the feel of open plan, but so the rooms count as separate types. You very much need the rooms to be separate for the item lists to be correct for that room. Looking at your screenshot after having a bit more of a think about it and reading your other posts, and remembering that house, it is the dining room which must be in the forest mist paint, and the kitchen, separated by the half walls, is in the tiles and white paint. That's probably the main reason you're going back and forth - you're trying to do two rooms task list in one and its confusing the game!

The mini map only showed where to knock down walls, not where to build them. The mini map worked on the other jobs but not the uninvited guests job.

That was the only job that I had problems with completing, all other jobs worked. The game has bugs as it has with every DLC that's been released and the devs will fix them when they get to it.

I did all jobs in the new area and now I can flip the houses. I'm not going to try to do the jobs again until they patch the game.
