Pets should NOT get in the way on the job!!
I get it. Bringing pets on the job gets in your way of doing things. This game is trying to be realistic or whatever, but it doesn't have to be!!

I would LOVE to bring my cat(s) on the job and hear the occasional meows while they roam around and be cute - which is their only purpose!! I do NOT need them to always be in my point of view, thus blocking me from placing items!!!

This NEEDS to be an option that can be toggled on/off as pleased. I have just about a handful of cats and the only times I am actually within their proximity is when I'm in my own office - which spans from 2 to 5 minutes as I browse houses and look for my next project.

I can't enjoy my pets at all !!!

When you open the pets panel to see what their needs are, you have the option to click on "stay." If you choose that, your pet will stay in whatever room (or outside of the house) that you want him in while you are renovating. I usually do this except for when I'm painting a large room so that the dog can carry the paint can for me. If I don't do this, then he is always in the way. I haven't tried it while at a house I'm working on, but in the office, I don't have "follow me" or "stay" checked and the animals just do their own thing. Sometimes they come around for attention, but often they're off sleeping or eating or even wandering around. As I said, I've not tried this at the job, but I'm guessing it might work the same there. That way you can take the cats with you, but they won't be in the way.

Another personal experience I had when the pet DLC first came out was, I had a handful of pets including cats/dogs followed me on the job the first time I played. I thought was cute to have my little roster with me and make cute noises while I work but NOOOO. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE. I couldn't place a DAMN thing. I had to lure them out of the current room I was working on so I could actually place items. This went on for the rest of the rooms in that house. Absolute NIGHTMARE.

In the HOURS+++ that I've put into this game since the pet DLC, I probably could enjoy the pets for only a handful of hours. The ratio is 5 minutes spending with them per 5+ hours every time i renovate a new house.

I'm tired of not being able to enjoy these pets. I paid for this DLC. This shouldn't even be a hindrance in the first place.

You can choose between : "stay away" , "follow me" and "do not move".

There are options, if you click on the pet, to have the pet not follow you and there is also a button to tell them to move.
