Ah, OK. I haven't had a chance to play since the update. I'll ave to check it out.
Yeah I guess I was just curious what the point was. It's not like we have days in the game, especially when you have the night cycle shut off.
I'm not sure why the mechanic was added to HF though. Maybe it's for those people who keep the day/night cycle turned on for "realism"
Strangely enough, even though my day/night cycle is off, I still have the "press E to sleep" prompt, with an option to "sleep until the next day". An official screenshot in one of the news posts shows several options, for those who have the cycle turned on.
@Mizmeow1: The game is so much better now since the update!
The list of paint colour categories now includes a new category - Gradient Set. If you click on it, it will show you a different, but similar, list of categories (although Cream is missing) to filter the new (absolutely massive) set of paint colours.
You can now panel or tile up to 5 wall segments at a time! If you have less than 5 tiles in your hand, the game will only let you apply half of them at once, and you'll need to use the scroll wheel a lot, especially to prevent tiles overflowing to the next room when you reach a corner. But this mechanic is Way more fun and efficient now!
We can now turn the buyers' comments off in the Gameplay options, so that we only see them at the auction. Finally!
You are most certainly mistaken as that mechanic was in games for over a decade before Minecraft was even a though in Notch's head.
If I'm not mistaken (generally means)...Correct me if I'm wrong...which is exactly what I did. Nothing wrong with that.
I've used the sleep mechanic is houses that get really dark and I don't feel like using the Flashlight. It's a nice feature to have for those of us that don't turn night off because we like the shiny lights.
