Creating terraces/covered porches with the new additions tool?

I can't find any way to do this, since roofs require walls to be placed, and columns require ceilings. Am I missing something? And if not, then could a terrace tool PLEASE be added to the architect tool!

The terraces are buyable in the tablet shop. They will add surfaces (from first floor on) and if you place them above a door, you can make a porch by just adding columns (decoration ones).

I make the room i want a terrace /veranda porch on the size of the room pluss then use the doorway tool
its bit chunkiker tho then add a interior wall as exterior but you cant put in windows only doors

the balcony/terrace is nice but cant use on ground floor but the doorway will make a decent porch
