Good luck, I hope you find something out there.
We're discriminated because the "lovely" people here demand that we own the steam game and/or DLC absskdjhfskjdhf to download the mod. I own the game and DLC, and can't download anything because it's not the steam version. So yes, I reiterate... DISCRIMINATION against other people on GOG and/or Epic.
The moment GOG links and syncs with Steam (yes, it's a thing), I should be able to download steam workshop content.
The game is sold in more platforms, so FOR THE BENEFIT OF A LOT OF PEOPLE. This is the discrimination I speak of, and you are seemingly one the proponents of "♥♥♥♥ anyone who doesn't buy steam."
Good day, talk to wall.
Love light and peace
Gary
Sincerely
Gary.
As for you, I only got annoyed at you because of the suggestion of ditching 80€ in a game that I already own. Money doesn't grow on trees, and I don't depend on the bank of "ma&pa".
There used to be places where we could download the mods, even with steamcmd, but Valve decided that it's evil because people who don't buy the games from them are getting mods. I don't know how they think this will make people buy games twice, but hey...
God luck mate
Sincerely
Gary.
So tell me, how/why are you taking something that wasn't said to you, as personal?
As for GOG, for most of the games, the mods are on the Nexus, not blocked by Steam. The sooner people accept Steam isn't the non-plus-ultra, the better.
I, for one, like to not have to be forced to update my game (it has happened), if the mods I use aren't being updated. Try doing that on steam without resorting to less advisable methods.
I also like actually owning my games, instead of "renting" them from steam. GOG has offline installers (whole game) and no DRM. Why would I want the mess that is steam?
I think before you have bought it on GOG , you should have question if they will support mods workshop , i never buy a game without see my doubts questioned , it was a bad investment buying it on GOG if they don't have workshop , so i believe you should complain to GOG about that and not here , your decision was not buy it on steam , so on steam you don't own the game , why complain about something here if you decide not buy it here ?
Having purchased on GOG, you now realise how limited your gaming is, that can not be resolved here. And for the life of me, if you hate Steam so much, why are you posting on here? You either purchase on Steam, or carry on playing without the HUGE benefits of being a Steam Gamer.
Gary.
As for "renting" from Steam, you don't own the games on GOG either. Any game you buy, even with a disk, isn't "owned" by you, ESPECIALLY for digital games. Every game you buy on Steam, Epic, GOG, Playstation, XBox, what ever, is just a license to use the game software. That's it. Having things like offline installers doesn't change any of that. Sucks, but it is what it is.
It honestly sounds like you've never actually used Steam and are parroting what you read from other people as everything you've mentioned, except the forced updates, is a non issue. I was a late joiner as I did not like the idea of having to download another piece of software to play a game I just installed from disk. I didn't join until 2010-11, but in the last decade of using it, I have never had ANY reason to download an offline installer, and honestly can't even think of a reason to use them beyond transferring the game to a completely offline system, nor have I ever encountered anything related to DRM that was specific to Steam.
Tell me of one Steam game that comes with a completely offline installer, like it used to be before everything went digital.
Steam forces updates, I lost count to how many times my mods for Bethesda games were broken by the forced updates. Kindly take a hike.
Even if GOG removes the game from its platform, I have the FULL GAME+DLC OFFLINE to install whenever I want. If you can't understand that, sorry, I can't help with low IQ.
Oh, and did I mention ONE MONTH return policy?
But for you, 2h is better of course.
Also, FYI, GOG games DO NOT need a launcher to start or run. Steam games DO.
