Could you post a screenshot?
So you see red when trying too place a bathtub check if you have removed both the caps first and its the rightway round, push it against the wall . Same with shower.
No other bathroom fictures close by? like a toiletor sink?
A bathtub I usualy place in the center of a wall allowing space for shower, many showers are very simple and small in the new jobs
Which house is it? Did you buy it? Is it a job so I can identify which house
Here's the screenshots:

Attempting to install it as a shower: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2911230595
I couldn't get it flush against the wall (maybe because of the window) and I don't know how to flip objects horizontally.

Yes some of these new bath and shower can be buggy. I'm so happy you solving it.
I actually never seen that combination bath shower. But you know the 2nd screenshot shows something in the wall like a rack maybe next time always place the bath/shower first before any wall items .
Seems to be a hidden zone for some these small rooms... I also completely understand your feelings I feel the same some just dont look right but after a few more llike this you'll find yourself just sticking them anywhere to complete it lol.
Cheers
Or any house will do I guess since you bought the house.
Ok tested it in a house I own.
I bought the bathtub plumming and then the Restee bath with shower.

This is as close to the wall to wall but the glass is against the wall not in front where I think it should be. To be able to turn it around so the glass is in front is where the bug is in my opinion.

TEST 2 rotated the bathtub plumming place it closer to the wall doesnt matter if the bathtub is red imagine where teh shower will go.

My theory is the plumming is bugged for this bath with shower and there should be plumming specific for these height and sizes. It doesnt quite match the fittings as a shower or a bathtub
cheers.
I think a nice thing would be if there was an option, like some kitchen cabinets/counters or showers, to have the glass wall on one or the other side. That way we would have a bit more freedom where to place the thing. I'd probably use it more too, because I do love the shower/tub combo. Its what I have in my real house, after all.
